Come get some healing with this 12-week community wellness program that offers accessible meditation, breathwork, and Qi Gong-inspired movement practices to support mindfulness, resilience, and holistic well-being for participants of all backgrounds, with elders encouraged to attend. Led by Oakland-based MC, music producer, and wellness practitioner Seiji Oda began his practice as a youth with parents rooted in Buddhist teachings, while he later became a student of Qi Gong. Having taught at Oaklandʻs Clinton Community Center for the past year, the program draws on embodied traditions that foster balance, self-awareness, and personal growth. As part of BAMBU Pharm's Solutions to Artist Sustainability Initiative, the program also creates meaningful paid opportunities for teaching artists to share their knowledge, cultural practices, and leadership while strengthening community health and connection.

Seiji Bio:
Seiji Oda is an Oakland-based MC, music producer, and community wellness practitioner whose approach is rooted in a lifetime of Buddhist teachings and the study of Chi Gong. Raised by Buddhist parents, Seiji has practiced meditation since childhood and later expanded his training while living in Los Angeles, where he studied Chi Gong and embodied movement practices. He previously facilitated Monday Meditation & Movement for over a year at Oakland's Clinton Community Center through Tribe, primarily serving BIPOC adults in their 20s and 30s. Seiji believes these practices provide practical tools for cultivating compassion, resilience, and personal growth, helping participants become more grounded, balanced, and connected to themselves and their communities.
